Lemonade Day Detroit announced the results of the first-time program and handed out awards to recognize hundreds of children across Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties who started, owned and operated their own lemonade stands June 12.
"Seeing the creativity of our Metro Detroit kids was a pleasure for everyone who braved the cool weather," said Mike Fezzey, president of Huntington National Bank's East Michigan Region, which sponsored the event. "We're so proud of the hundreds of kids, and the caring adults that supported them, in these terrific business ventures."
