IGNITE Gearing Up for the 2012 Youth Business Plan Competition

2012 promises to be the biggest year yet for the IGNITE Youth Business Plan Competition.  In addition to bigger prizes, the IGNITE team is looking to expand the competition into more schools, engage more teachers and students, and facilitate more youth business startups than ever before.  Once again, we’ll be coordinating the competition with National Entrepreneurship Week in February.  It’s never too early, however, to get those creative juices flowing! Make sure you connect with us via Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date as competition details are released.

The IGNITE Youth Business Plan competition is more than simply an academic exercise.  It is an opportunity for aspiring youth entrepreneurs to gain valuable feedback, connect with the entrepreneurial support network and possibly even receive funding to assist them in starting their business.  We are currently seeking a high school student to assist us with design of promotional materials for the contest.  This is a great opportunity for a young graphic designer or artist to hone their skills and gain professional experience.  Additionally, we are in need of adult volunteers to assist us in the application judging process.  Please contact us at stickne4@anr.msu.edu if you would be interested in assisting us!
